We went for a snowshoe hike in a snowstorm for Daisy's birthday. "The more snow the better!" says Daisy. We cruised around the Big Meadow trailhead for the Tahoe Rim Trail. We had aspirations of going farther and higher in altitude but the big snowstorm kind of caught us by suprise. The forecast was only for minor snowshowers. Yeah right! Well, Big Meadow is neat in the snowy months as well as the spirng-summer-fall. I would recommend checking this area out all seasons of the year. There are very pretty aspens in abundance.

Tahoe is not a bad place to spend your birthday. Especially if you are a springer spaniel.
